This is Thomas, CEO at OtterlyAI. Today we’re launching Recommendations – and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the biggest feature we’ve shipped since we started the company.

Here’s why.

The gap between insight and action

OtterlyAI already shows you where your brand stands in AI Search. Brand coverage across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Copilot. Citation data. Competitor visibility. The data is there.

But here’s what we kept hearing from customers.

I see the data. Now what do I do about it?

That’s the gap. You know a competitor is getting cited for a topic you should own. You can see which websites are influencing AI responses in your space. But turning those insights into a concrete plan still takes work. You need to analyze the data, figure out what matters most, prioritize, and somehow keep track of what your team is actually doing about it.

Recommendations closes that gap.

What Recommendations does

Recommendations analyzes your brand report data – your cited websites, successful competitors, mentioned brands – and gives you specific, actionable suggestions for what to do next.

Not vague advice. Concrete next steps.

Think of it this way: You notice that ChatGPT keeps citing a competitor’s guide on a topic your brand should own. Recommendations flags this, shows you why they’re getting cited, and tells you exactly what content to create or which off-page signal to go after to close that gap.

Every recommendation comes with clear reasoning. You see what data it’s based on and why it matters. No black box.

How to use Recommendations

Head to any of your Brand Reports inside OtterlyAI. You’ll find a new menu entry called Recommendations.

You can filter and segment recommendations by:

  • Country: Which market do you want to optimize for?
  • AI Search Engine: Get recommendations specific to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, or any engine you’re tracking
  • Type: From prompt optimization to crawlability, Reddit presence, content partnerships, and more
  • Area: Focus on on-page or off-page recommendations
  • Impact: Prioritize by what moves the needle most

The workflow: Suggestions → To-Do → Archive

This is where Recommendations goes beyond just telling you what to do. It gives you a lightweight workflow to actually get it done.

Suggestions: Every recommendation starts here. These are suggestions for you and your team. Review them, then accept or dismiss. Your call.

To-Do: Accept a suggestion and it moves to your To-Do list. Track status (Not started, In progress, Complete), and leave internal notes for your team. This is your team’s shared action plan for AI search optimization – right inside OtterlyAI, where the data lives.

Archive: Completed items move to your Archive. Over time, this becomes a record of everything your team has done to improve AI search visibility. Useful for reporting, for proving ROI, and for seeing how far you’ve come.

What our customers are saying

We gave early access to a handful of customers. Here’s what they had to say:

“As a long-time user, I find the Recommendations feature provides the clearest path forward I’ve seen yet for generative engine optimization. The advanced filtering and prompt reporting are exactly what I need to translate complex data into direct, high-impact actions.”

Omri Levin, Digital Content Lead at eToro

The new Recommendations feature turns AI visibility gaps into specific actions. It gives you clear direction on what to do next to move the needle.

— Ginger Henderson, Co-Founder at Haven Strategy Group

“A game-changer for AI Search visibility. It tells you exactly what to do next – no guesswork.”

Nikos Taskos, Head of SEO at DOPE Studio

OtterlyAI’s Recommendations gave me real, actionable insights to move the needle on visibility across both human and LLM audiences. At a moment when those two conversations are converging fast, Recommendations have helped me lead the conversation for our marketing and outreach goals.

– Heather Hornor, COO at Form.io

At Webmyday, we’re very happy with OtterlyAI’s recommendation feature, as it helps us make faster, better decisions for our clients. For example, OtterlyAI advised adding a link from a specific Wikipedia page. We followed the recommendation and implemented it right away, without needing further analysis. A great example of how OtterlyAI turns insights into immediate action.

Stefan van Ballegooie, Team Manager Online Marketing at Webmyday

OtterlyAI Recommendations takes prompt tracking to the next level with impact-weighted tasks and funnel-specific insights to drive AI visibility. Great to have this in our toolkit!

– Fabian Pluger, Senior SEO & Content Consultant at BlueGlass

We have been testing the new Recommendations feature using our own brand, and have found the insights to be very valuable and actionable. It adds another useful layer to the reporting by highlighting clear opportunities for improvement, and we are looking forward to utilising it for our AI Search clients.

Stuart Pollington, Owner at Smart Traffic Australia
