Weekly GEO Experiments: What We’re Sharing
At OtterlyAI, we don’t just talk about AI Search. We test it.
As Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is still a relatively new area of digital marketing, our clients often ask us the same question: what actually works? It’s a fair question. Rather than leaning on theory alone, we built a structured experiment program to test our assumptions and track what genuinely moves the needle in AI Search.
Today, we’re making those experiments public.
Every week, we update a live Google Sheets tracker with the GEO experiments we’re actively running or have completed. For each experiment you’ll find:
- The tactic: exactly what we changed or tested
- The hypothesis: why we thought it might work
- The category and difficulty: so you can prioritize what makes sense for your own site
- The results: what we actually observed, no spin
Some experiments confirm what you’d expect. Others are genuinely surprising. A few have already become core parts of how we approach AI Search for clients.
Why We’re Doing This
The GEO space needs more signal and less noise. We believe the community benefits when teams share real data, even when the results are inconclusive or the experiment fails. Our goal is to build the most honest, practical library of GEO experiments available anywhere.
How to Access It

If you’re running your own GEO experiments and want to share results, we’d love to hear from you. The more data points the community has, the better decisions everyone can make.

🧪 Contact the GEO Mythbusters
“Schema is essential for AI Search.” “AI only cites Wikipedia.” “You need to go viral on Reddit.”
The GEO space is full of myths , and we’re on a mission to bust them one by one.
Have a GEO belief you’re not sure about? Something you’ve heard at a conference, seen in a LinkedIn post, or read in an agency guide that doesn’t quite add up? Send it our way and we’ll put it to the test.

with the subject line [GEO Myth] and tell us the myth you want debunked.
We’ll investigate it, run an experiment where possible, and publish our findings publicly in the tracker. No myth too big, no assumption too small.
